Illuminating the Catholic Faith

Photo of Marty Barrack

Highlighting the Israelite origins of the Catholic faith necessarily involves illuminating the Faith itself.

Most of my illumination of the Catholic faith is in the Second Exodus book. Rosalind Moss wrote in her National Catholic Register review, “The section on the Mass alone, for many, will be worth the price of the book.”

The illumination of the Faith material on this site is intended to provide some useful information, but also to whet your appetite to buy the book. Here is where I help you find information on the Israelite origins on this web site.

Marty’s Magazine & Web Articles

My second article for The Catholic Faith magazine, Covenant Morality, highlights the great Catholic lesson about preparing for heaven.

My sixth article, A Spiritual War Primer, teaches that the Church Militant is our ally in the war between Christ’s forces and Satan’s forces for every human soul.

My ninth article, The Shroud of Calvary, tells of the greatest relic in Christendom.

My thirteenth article, From Memory to Reconciliation, explores some aspects of the Church’s relationship with the Jewish people.

Marty’s Other Writing on this Site

The Catholic definitions illuminate many aspects of the Catholic faith. There are more than 100 definitions on the site; every one teaches something useful.

The education area offers some specific ways to find a good Catholic education.

The prayers area offers some prayers of the Church in your choice of Latin or English.

The pro-life area offers Catholic teaching on the most grave moral issue of our age.

The Vatican Documents

Second Exodus has links to the major Vatican documents of the past 100 years or so.

They are organized according to the twelve subject areas in Précis of Official Catholic Teaching.

Most of the document links go to the Vatican or EWTN document libraries. By using only faithful document libraries, Second Exodus site visitors are assured that the translations are authentic and have not been tampered with.

For a broader perspective, there is also a history of Catholic Church letters.
